I already have a temporary residence-and-work permit. Can I just start working somewhere else?

## Short answer
Generally, no -- not without first having the permit changed (amended) or applying for a new one. If your permit names a specific employer, working for a different one under different conditions than those in your decision requires an amendment.

## What this depends on
This applies when the change involves the entity entrusting work, the user-employer (for temporary/agency work), or the position, minimum salary, working time, or contract type stated in your decision.

## Documents / steps
- Application to change (amend) the permit
- Annex No. 1, completed and signed by the new employer
- Proof of the 220 PLN amendment fee
- Copy of the current permit decision

## Important exception
Amending does NOT extend your permit's validity period. If you're far into your permit's validity, a brand-new permit might make more practical sense than an amendment -- worth discussing with the office or Auranik before deciding.
