If I set up and own a company in Poland, does that automatically mean I get to live there?

No. Registering a company in KRS, or simply holding shares in a sp. z o.o., does not automatically grant you the right to reside, work, or personally run day-to-day operations in Poland.

## What this depends on
Owning or managing a company CAN be a separate basis to apply for a temporary residence permit for business activity -- but that requires showing the business is real and financially viable, not just registered on paper. One commonly-described route: showing that the company's income in the preceding tax year reached at least 12 times the average monthly gross salary in the voivodeship where it's registered (or a credible plan/employment level that would achieve this).
