I lost my job and I hold a temporary residence-and-work permit. What am I required to do?

## Short answer
You must notify the voivode who issued your permit, in writing, within 15 WORKING days of losing employment with the entity named in your permit. Filing an application to amend your permit within that same window satisfies this duty instead of a plain notification letter.

## What this depends on
This deadline is counted in working days, not calendar days -- weekends and Polish public holidays don't count toward the 15. Your employer has a separate, parallel notification duty of their own (15 calendar days) -- these are two different counts for two different people, don't assume they're the same number.
