PKD (Polska Klasyfikacja Działalności) is Poland's classification system for business activities. Every company declares one main PKD code and, typically, several additional codes describing what it actually does -- these appear in your KRS entry and can affect which specific licenses or permits apply to you.

## What this depends on
Choose the code(s) that actually match your planned activities -- specific PKD codes can trigger additional permit requirements (for example, food service, healthcare-adjacent, or certain regulated activities may need separate approvals, such as Sanepid clearance for premises handling food).

## Important exception
Getting the PKD code technically right doesn't replace checking whether your specific activity needs a separate license or permit -- treat it as classification, not a substitute for a permit check.
